Somali Journal of Social Science is a new development by Somali Institute of Development and Research Analysis. It is a double blind peer reviewed journal. It exists at a time when research serves as the best solution to societal problems.

Research reduces on the unknown and increases on the known. With this, the information gap that would cause ignorance and running through the dark, is narrowed. With research, societal problems can be fully addressed through having knowledge of the problem, its causes, effect and impact and eventually devising the best courses of action to address it.

This journal is an open Access journal to allow researchers, scholars and students to find easy to access information published here so as to widen the scope of their knowledge. It helps in increasing on the available literature and knowledge on key priority areas particularly democracy and social development.
