Call for Papers

SJSS calls for papers twice a year. The first papers are called for in February and successful ones are published in June. The second call is done in August and published in December. Click on the following to see the recent call for paper;

SOMALI JOURNAL OF SOCIAL SCIENCE- Call for papers

The Somali journal of Social Science was established with an aim of boasting research and solving problems in society especially in developing countries.

The education system of many developing countries Somali inclusive is shaky although there has been a slight improvement in this sector. Somalia’s education system is dominated by the private investors and collective ownership by communities.  There is a very limited control over education by the central government(s) across the various states of Somalia. Due to this, various anomalies exist within Somalia’s education and it needs maximum attention. The Somali Journal of Social Science invites papers on the following topical areas;

  • Nationalization of the education sector in low developed countries
  • Girl Child education and economic growth in society
  • Family social-economic factors and the rate of University students’ drop outs in underdeveloped economies
  • Education of females in low developed countries

Note that, the articles submitted should be between 1500-5000 words. The article format and details of submission can be found in the Authors’ Guide or contact the editor on sjss@sidrainstitute.org.

The deadline for submission of papers is 15th –March-2018, 11:59 pm (East African Time).
